Compliance Identity Standard (CIS)

The CIS is the governing specification for portable, verifiable, multi-domain compliance identity. It enables individuals to prove compliance once and use it across institutions without repeated verification.

What CIS Solves

Today, individuals repeat the same compliance checks across employers, banks, platforms, and regulators. CIS eliminates duplication by allowing compliance to travel with the individual.

The 6 Compliance Domains

ID • FIN • LIC • REG • HOU • WE

Verification Structure

Tier 1 (Regulatory) • Tier 2 (Certified) • Tier 3 (Holder-Asserted)

How It Works

A profile is created by an accredited issuer, verified across domains, signed with a cryptographic integrity signal, and shared selectively by the holder. Institutions verify through the CLF Registry and accept without re-verification.

Access the Standard

The CIS is an open standard. However, full implementation documentation, accreditation protocols, and ecosystem participation are controlled and granted on request.
